The first exhibition for ‘Actopolis‘ will open on 16.03.17 in Oberhausen. The project has been commissioned by ‘Goethe-Institut‘ and ‘Urbane Künste Ruhr‘ and includes 45 projects as urban interventions in 7 cities. After its start in Oberhausen the display will travel to Ankara/Mardin, Athens, Belgrad, Bukarest, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Thessaloniki, Istanbul, Izmir and Vienna where the exhibition components will be arranged as individual site-specific installations reacting to their local context.

The first section of our project for new exhibition spaces at Galerie Luis Campaña will open this Saturday, 4.3.17 from 6-9pm with a show by the artist Mia Goyette. The modification of the front rooms will start in summer.

Bernd Schmutz has been invited by Jantje Engels and Marius Grootveld to join a collective debate moderated by Florian Fischer with work presentations at Deutsches Architekturmuseum in Frankfurt. The event has been organised  to coincide with the finissage of the exhibition Maatwerk/Massarbeit at DAM.

The prototype for Actopolis has now been completed and production will start soon for the inaugural show in Oberhausen in March. After that the exhibition initiated by Goethe-Institut and Urbane Künste Ruhr will travel to several other cities with site-specific displays. Graphic Design by NODE Berlin Oslo.

From 4.11.2016 the modular exhibition system designed by Stadelmann Schmutz Wössner for ‘Globale’ will be shown as part of the exhibition ‘Frei Otto. Thinking by Modeling’ at ZKM, Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe. A large number of models, objects and instruments will be displayed on an expansive table arranged by ‘FAR frohn&rojas’ with the modular framework laid out horizontally as a base.
